Industrial Laundry?
Industrial laundry refers to laundry activity on a large scale. An industrial laundry can either be an on-premise laundry (OPL) or an independent laundry company that offers services to a large institution like restaurants, hotels, hospital, industries, caterers and retail outlets that requires a constant flow of clean linens.
These large-scale laundries offer turnkey solutions to end-user of linens. The industry features service providers taking care of garments, logistics, quality, and customer satisfaction. Laundries process the linens in an industrial way, therefore using large scale automated equipment process automation and information management is very important for industrial laundries, due to the large amount of garment treated. Technologies such as robotics, RFID tags, etc. are being developed in order to ensure a better quality of services and improved profitability.

PLE - Professional Laundry Education; is a way of Training that concentrates on what a laundry professional can do or is required to do at work. The aim is of the training is to enable laundry trainees to perform tasks and duties at the standard expected by the laundry system. The laundry education seeks to develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to achieve the required competency standard. This laundry education will produce the type of employees that the hospitality industry is looking for and therefore increases trainees' chances of obtaining employment.
